Racing moottoriongelmien testaus

Englannissa tekivät testejä selvittääkseen moottoriongelmien syyt ja sieltähän se syy löytyi suunnitteluvirheestä.

"After about 10 months of looking at this problem, at this point we are putting the engine failures down to over-heating pistons. I believe the reason for this is as follows:
  1. 1. The engine produces a high level of vapour from the PCV which is carried into the inlet tract and causes carbon build up on the tops of the inlet valves and ports.
  2. 2. The continued build-up of carbon causes detonation under high engine load as it breaks up and falls into the combustion chamber upsetting the quality of the burn and heating up the pistons to the point where they fail.

So in short - Based on some logical testing over the last 10 months, I believe you can prevent the problem happening with an oil catch can used in conjunction with the Peugeot/Citroen Blanking Plug AND get your dealer to carry out the Info-Rapid asap."

Racingin moottoriongelmat

Taas yksi samanlainen tapaus.


"So saga over......car is in the garage....cylinder two is gone and I'm going to need a new engine after 2 and a half years owning the car. Thankfully under warranty! "
